Wakefield Players

The Wakefield Players is the original troupe of Theatre Wakefield, drawn from the human resources of the community and constellating around a core group of passionate and committed people, both professional and amateur.

In the tradition of community theatre and for the past sixteen years we have  provided two shows per year, in April and November, with performance and production values consistently above the average.

 

The range of these shows encompasses classics of Canadian theatre with original, locally written comedies, murder mysteries and dramas and great musicals.

 

We have also done numerous fundraisers for community groups through play readings and our occasional productions of Dickens’

“A Christmas Carol”.
